Trained in Music Education

I graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Southern Methodist University. I student taught for four months at Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, and was certified by the State of Texas as a Music Teacher Grades EC-12.

Conferences

In 2021, I presented Recording Basics for Auditions and Content Creation at the Northwest Horn Symposium.

At the 2018–2019 Mid-South Horn Workshop, I presented “Easy Tips to Improve Your Cadenza” and was featured on the Contributing Artists Recital and Faculty Horn Choir.

Community Engagement

Through my work at the Louisville Orchestra, and while at the New World Symphony and Yale School of Music, I’ve worked with students of all ages to help them love making music and express themselves with their instrument. These include lessons, masterclasses, demonstrations, and concerts in communities across the United States. In 2017 and 2018, I even conducted the All-City Honors Intermediate Ensemble and lead pedagogy workshops for Teaching Artists as part of YSM’s Music In Schools Initiative.
